Ottawa ON- Dr. Kahlid Mankal is making a difference in the Barrhaven community for those children who are living with Autism. Cranial Adjusting is becoming more identifiable for children who are suffering from Autism and other serious head injuries.

“I have several patients who are living with Autism, especially children. After performing several adjustments in the previous weeks, I am already hearing from parents that their child’s motor and social skills have improved significantly. They have developed better speech and pronunciation of words from the kids who have difficulty speaking,” said Dr. Mankal.

Cranial Adjusting helps when there is a misalignment of the skull, which decreases the space for the brain to grow and development. This interferes with the Cerebral Spinal fluid and blood supply to that part of the brain, which can decrease the ability of the brain to function. Areas of the brain that can be affected by this injury are behavior, short term memory, migraine headaches, concentration, sleep centre, fine motor skills, speech and many more.

The most common areas of improvement when a child receives Cranial Adjusting is improved brain function, increased Cerebral Spinal Fluid and Blood Supply to the brain, improved motor speech, and social skills which helps the child’s overall quality of life.
